The Stratalam standard beams have been designed in a range of length, widths and depths to meet the challenging demands of the international construction industry. They offer consistent performance based on structural properties. Stratalam beams can be cut to length and delivered on site sealed or stained ready for use. They are used as floor beams, roof beams, rafters and ridges, hip members and lintels.
Standard treatments for exterior use - GL10 is H5 CCA; GL8 is H3.1, LOSP or H3.2 CCA. For interiors the timber can remain untreated or H1.2 can be used. These treatment levels should be checked with the OTS supplier before ordering.
Stratalam also offers a pre-primed surface for internal or external applications as required.

Stratalam Standard beams are usually available ‘off the shelf’. They offer speedy delivery of a lightweight and cost competitive structural component with an assurance of quality in a range of widths, lengths and depths. All beams are glued with Resorcinol 15 (R15) which is recommended for exterior use. Special designs and specifications are also available if requested. And most importantly of all, Stratalam standard have the unrivalled look and feel of authentic wood.
